In the current context of renewable energy development, the installation of floating photovoltaic (FPV) power plants on bodies of water is increasing. However, the level of knowledge regarding their ecological impacts on aquatic biodiversity remains insufficient. On June 19, 2025, in Toulouse, a seminar will be held, organized by OFB, ADEME, the CRBE of the University of Toulouse, the Regional Economic Development Agency of Occitanie, and IMFT. The event will present the results of the SOLAKE/ECLIPSE project, funded by OFB, ADEME, and the EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program.
The seminar will be followed by two workshops focusing on the eco-design of floating photovoltaic power plants and future research perspectives.
The Pôle R&D ECLA is involved in organizing and facilitating the event.
